Mourinho, the boss of Italy’s Inter Milan team, saying Muntari had low energy levels as a result of his fasting.

• Agreeing and disagreeing
I disagree with Mourinho’s statement. His statement can hurt Moslem and makes Moslem angry. Fasting is a Moslem duty. In Koran Al-Baqarah, verse 183, Allah says,” O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious).” The proposition of fasting is clear for Moslem. As a good Moslem, Muntari must do his religion duty. So, Mourinho shouldn’t blame Muntari because of his fasting.

• Explaining and making suggestion
We know that football players need much energy to do their activities. Every day they should eat enough nutritious food. When the month of Ramadan starts, Moslem football players must do fasting. Allah ordained fasting for the person to be accustomed to the life of piety and righteousness since the person abandons his food, drink and desire in the morning of Ramadan and also abandons giving false statements and working according them. In the beginning, people who fasting have drop stamina. But, the next day they be familiar with fasting and don’t feel drop stamina or hungry. As football player, we can’t show the best performance in the match if we don’t have good stamina. We can solve this problem by consumption nutritious food at “sahur” and “buka”. Ramadan only comes once a year. We must make the best use of this moment. There are many benefits of fasting such as can make us to be the pious people and can make us more health. So, don’t blame people who do fasting. We must respect their religion.

• Interrupting or questioning
1. What is the best solution that a coach must do in order that his football team can show the best performance although there are fasting player in his team?
2. What is our priority, fasting at football match day or no fasting at football match day?

• Dealing with question
1. There are some solutions that a coach must do in order that his football team can show the best performance although there are fasting player in his team.
a. Players who do fasting not play full time. They can be a starter and then out in second half or they play from the reserve.
b. Give more nutrition to fasting players so they don’t have drop stamina during the match.
c. Fasting players shouldn’t play individual or one man show. Individual playing need more stamina than team playing.
According to David’s opinion, these are some solution to solve that problem.
a. A coach should don’t put the fasting players in the players list. The fasting players should have a rest during his fasting. There are other players who can change him in the team.
b. Moslem player can do fasting in Ramadan except match day. They can change his fasting in another day after Ramadan.
2. Fasting at Ramadan must be Moslem priority although at football match day because this is a duty. We can get a sin if don’t fasting without permitted reason.
Ghani, my friend, gives me another answer. He think that we must priority fasting but we can no fasting if we have to work hard like football. But, we must change our fasting in another day after Ramadan.
